Diamond Counseling Center serves adults in Edison and across Middlesex County with substance use evaluations, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treatment, and co-occurring disorder care. Our only office is in North Brunswick.
Getting to Us from Edison and Middlesex County
Our office is at 2186 New Jersey Route 27, Suite 1C, North Brunswick, NJ 08902. Route 27 and US Route 1 connect Edison and New Brunswick to North Brunswick, and East Brunswick residents can reach us via US Route 1. We also serve Piscataway and the rest of Middlesex County.
Our tracks are built for working adults:
- • Evening IOP: Monday through Wednesday, 6:00 to 9:00 PM. A hybrid program based at our North Brunswick office, Monday in person and Tuesday and Wednesday virtual.
- • Morning IOP: Monday through Thursday, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with attendance based on your treatment plan.
- • Virtual IOP: For New Jersey residents. A weekly in-person visit to our North Brunswick office for drug screening is required.
We help arrange transportation through a third party for eligible candidates.
Services
Court-Ordered and Legal Evaluations
We accept court referrals including DUI, IDRC, drug court, and probation, from any New Jersey court. Evaluations within 3 business days; admissions within 1 week. Reports are usually provided the same day or next business day. We work directly with probation officers, attorneys, and courts, including regular referrals from Middlesex County Drug Court, and provide detailed progress reporting.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Structured treatment for adults 18 and older while you stay at home. IOP typically lasts 12 weeks, and length is based on clinical need. Learn more about IOP →
Co-Occurring Disorder Therapy
Depression, anxiety, and trauma often go hand in hand with substance use. We treat substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions together. Psychiatric evaluation and medication management are available to Diamond clients through our collaborating psychiatric nurse practitioner. Diamond Counseling Center does not provide medication assisted treatment or medication services itself; when medication is clinically indicated, we coordinate a referral and share information only with your written consent.
Outpatient Care
Outpatient Program (OP), individual counseling, and family counseling, with a lower level of care than IOP.
Insurance and Admission
Diamond Counseling Center is in network with Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, accepts most NJ Medicaid plans, and offers private pay options with a sliding scale available on request.
