Diamond Counseling Center

SMS Terms & Conditions

Consent to receive text messages

When you give Diamond Counseling Center your mobile number and check the text message consent box on our website, or when you give us permission verbally or in writing, you agree to receive text messages from us at that number.

Text messages are sent from (732) 248-1805.

Consent to receive text messages is optional. It is not a condition of admission, treatment, or any service, and declining does not affect your care in any way. We will still reach you by phone or email.

Information obtained as part of the SMS consent process is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party or affiliate for marketing purposes.

What we will text you about

If you opt in, you may receive messages such as:

  • Appointment and group session reminders
  • Admissions and intake updates, including scheduling an assessment and insurance verification status
  • Case management and care coordination follow-up
  • Replies to questions you text us

We do not send promotional or marketing text messages.

How often you will hear from us

Message frequency varies depending on where you are in the process and what you have asked us about. Most people receive fewer than five messages per week.

Message and data rates

Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Diamond Counseling Center is not responsible for charges from your carrier.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message from (732) 248-1805 and we will stop texting that number. You will receive one confirmation message and nothing after that.

To start receiving messages again, reply START.

For help, reply HELP, call us at (732) 248-1805, or email info@diamondcounselingcenter.net.

Opting out of text messages does not remove you from our program or stop us from contacting you by phone or email when we need to.

Privacy and confidentiality

Text messaging is not a secure or confidential channel. Messages can be read by anyone with access to your phone, and they are carried across networks we do not control.

Because Diamond Counseling Center is a substance use treatment program, your records are protected by both HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, which is a stricter federal confidentiality rule that applies specifically to substance use disorder treatment records. To protect you, our text messages are deliberately brief and general. We will not include clinical details, diagnoses, medication information, or anything that would identify why you are in contact with us.

Never send us clinical details, medical information, or anything sensitive by text. Call us at (732) 248-1805 instead.

Text messaging is not monitored around the clock and must never be used for emergencies. If you are in danger or having a medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date below shows when they were last changed, and the current version is always the one posted on this page.
