Woodbridge is one of Middlesex County's largest commercial hubs. You work here, run businesses here, raise families here—and if addiction is affecting your life, you need treatment that fits your reality, not the other way around.

Diamond Counseling Center provides intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) in morning and evening schedules from our North Brunswick location, just 12 minutes from Woodbridge. Same quality care. Same work-compatible schedule. Local support for your community.

Why Woodbridge Residents Choose Diamond

Evening IOP Built for Your Schedule

Woodbridge professionals work retail, logistics, service industries, corporate jobs. You can't take three weeks off. Evening IOP runs Monday–Wednesday, 6–9 PM with Monday in-person and Tuesday–Wednesday virtual, so you keep your job while getting intensive treatment.

Local, Not Hospital-Based

No emergency room waits. No crowded waiting rooms. Our North Brunswick location is 12 minutes from Woodbridge—professional, private, and quiet. Small groups where you're known by name, not a client number.

In-Network Insurance

We're in-network with Aetna, Horizon, and UnitedHealthcare, and accept most NJ Medicaid plans.

Three-Day Commitment, Real Results

IOP runs three hours a day, three days a week, and is typically 12 weeks, with length based on clinical need. You attend group therapy, individual sessions, and educational workshops—all designed to address addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues.

Can I Keep Working During IOP?

Yes. That's the whole point.

Evening IOP is specifically designed for employed people. Here's how it works:

Your Schedule

  • MON 6–9 PM: In-person group at our North Brunswick office (12 min from Woodbridge)
  • TUE 6–9 PM: Virtual group (attend from home or anywhere)
  • WED 6–9 PM: Virtual group

You work full-time. You attend evening sessions. No employer needs to know unless you choose to tell them.

How Your Employer Won't Find Out

  • Treatment is confidential under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 (federal law)
  • We don't contact employers
  • You control what information is shared
  • If you need time off, handle it like any personal appointment

What If Your Boss Gets Suspicious?

Most employers are actually supportive when someone seeks treatment. If you're worried about your job, we can help you think through how to talk to your employer or HR department. Many people find that being upfront (without oversharing) actually reduces workplace stress.

What If You Can't Make Every Session?

Life happens. We work with you—rescheduling, virtual options, and flexibility built in. The goal is recovery, not perfect attendance. We've had clients take vacations, manage family emergencies, and still complete treatment successfully.

IOP vs. Other Treatment Options

IOP (What We Offer)

  • • 9 hours per week, typically 12 weeks
  • • Live at home, work full-time
  • • Individual therapy, group, psychiatric care, education
  • • Best for: moderate addiction, stable housing, employment

Outpatient (Less Intensive)

  • • 1–2 hours per week
  • • For people with milder addiction or as step-down from IOP
  • • Less structure, but also less time commitment

Inpatient/Residential

  • • 24-hour care, 28–90 days away from home
  • • For severe addiction, multiple relapses, or unsafe home situation
  • • We can refer if needed; many clients step down to our IOP after discharge

Why IOP Works Best for Working People

It's the sweet spot. More intensive than outpatient (real support, real progress), but you keep your life intact—your job, your apartment, your relationships. For Woodbridge residents working full-time, IOP is usually the right level of care.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if IOP is right for me?

If you're using daily, tried to quit and couldn't, your use is affecting work or relationships, or you've been referred by a doctor—IOP is worth evaluating. We assess you at your first appointment and recommend the right level of care.

What if I've been to treatment before?

Previous treatment doesn't disqualify you. Many people need treatment more than once. We approach you as a new person with new needs.

What if I have depression or anxiety along with addiction?

We treat both. Dual diagnosis (addiction + mental health) is our specialty. One program, one care team, treating both conditions at once.

How do I get to North Brunswick from Woodbridge?

12 minutes via Route 1 North. Easy access, professional location, parking available.

Will my coworkers find out?

No. Treatment is confidential. Unless you tell someone, they won't know.

What if I relapse during treatment?

It's not a failure—it's part of recovery for many people. We adjust your treatment plan, address what triggered it, and keep moving forward. Relapse doesn't mean you're out.

Can I attend virtually if I'm in Woodbridge?

Tuesday and Wednesday sessions are virtual. Monday is in person. Virtual IOP is for New Jersey residents; a weekly in-person visit to our North Brunswick office for drug screening is required. Most Woodbridge residents do Monday in-person + Tuesday/Wednesday virtual.
